6 Reasons Why Moto G71 5G Is Not the Best 5G Phone Under 20K

0

Motorola launched a new smartphone Moto G71 5G in India earlier yesterday. The mid-range phone was introduced in Europe a few months back and packs a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 695 SoC, 6GB RAM, 50MP camera, and a 5000mAh battery for a price of Rs. 18,999 in India. So should you buy this new 5G phone for this price or go for some other as there are many choices available in the segment? Let’s find out here!

Reasons Why Moto G71 5G Not the Best 5G Phone Under 20K

We analyzed the features and specs of the Moto G71 5G and compared it with other phones in the segment, and here are some points that prove that it might not be the best 5G phone under this budget.

Old Design

Motorola is offering this phone in the mid-range category but the design language of the phone is somehow similar to its other G series budget phones. That same shiny plastic body, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor inside the Moto logo, it all looks obsolete in 2022. On the front, it’s also the same punch-hole design with a thick chin at the bottom.

60 Hz Display

Surprisingly, when others are offering 90Hz or even 120Hz refresh rate displays in this segment, Motorola has decided to go for the typical 60Hz display. Although it is a big 6.4-inch AMOLED screen that has FHD+ resolution. But the refresh rate should also be at least 90Hz considering the value of the phone. Even some of Moto’s own mid-range phones from last year have 90Hz displays.

No Card Slot

Motorola has decided to exclude the microSD card slot from the phone this time. Earlier it has been offering the hybrid slot to offer dual SIM and microSD functionality but this time, you cannot expand the storage on Moto g71.

Mono Speaker

The phone comes with a single bottom-firing speaker which is really a disappointment for a midrange phone. Most of the phones in midrange come with stereo speakers these days.

No 4K Recording

Moto G71 5G can record videos with up to 1080p resolution only. While most of the other phones in the category offer 4K video recording. Even Moto’s own phones in the same price segment offer 4k recording.

Bluetooth 5.0

Many phones these days come with the latest Bluetooth 5.1 and 5.2 but Moto has still offered the older version which is Bluetooth 5.0. Even last year’s Moto G series phone has Bluetooth 5.1.

Reasons to Buy

Apart from all these reasons, Moto G71 5G has some good features too. As mentioned, this is the first phone in India with Snapdragon 695 chipset. This is a 6nm based chipset which has Kryo 660 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz. This chipset supports 13 5g bands so does the Moto g71 5g.

Apart from these features, it packs 6GB RAM with RAM booster of up to 2GB RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Also, just like other Moto phones, it has stock Android UI and a big battery with fast charging support.
