How to Set Up and Use Parental Controls on Disney+

0

It’s a difficult job to keep an eye on what content your children are watching, but things are a bit easier when it comes to Disney+. If there’s one thing the platform got right, it’s parental controls.

Thankfully, you can easily make any necessary adjustments to the Disney+ parental controls, so you know that your kids watch only age-appropriate content.

What Parental Control Features Disney+ Offers

Disney+ features a ton of content, from shows and movies appropriate for young audiences, to titles that are not appropriate for the youngest family members, such as Marvel films, Star Wars, and more. Things are even more challenging outside the United States, where Hulu content, for instance, ends up on Disney+ under the Star hub.

Therefore, the platform has implemented multiple security features to ensure that parents have control over everything, which is one of the reasons you should subscribe to Disney+.

Age Ratings

First of all, all content comes with age ratings. This way, you can adjust all profiles to display only age-appropriate content.

Kids Profiles

Second of all, you can easily create a kid’s profile on Disney+. Marking a profile as belonging to a child automatically restricts the content they can access and provides them with curated content and features. Plus, the interface is simplified for easier access.

Profile PIN

Another thing that Disney+ has implemented is profile PINs which are required to enter adult profiles. Anytime you switch profiles or launch Disney+, you have to enter the PIN for extra safety.

Profile Creation Restrictions

Furthermore, smart kids won’t be able to outsmart you by creating new profiles while you’re not looking. If you want to, you can ensure that you’re the only one who can create and manage your Disney+ profiles by requiring a password before any new profile is created.
